Changemaker Challenge Webcasts
Leonetta Elaiho
This year’s Changemaker Challenge celebrates the young people working to make their local communities better in small and big ways, from organizing free little pantries to banging on pots and pans each night to honor first responders to marching in the streets for change.
Our friends and longtime partners Global Nomads Group (GNG) are collaborating with us again to bring meaningful opportunities of connection to Challenge participants and students at-large. During a time when so many problems are affecting our communities, GNG is excited to offer exciting virtual events to engage your students with other teams and changemakers.
Join us on December 16, 2020, at 10am PST/ 1pm EST for an inspiring conversation featuring youth change makers from organizations including: Peace First, BUILD, and Global Nomads Group.
You will hear from students like Remaya who has created a platform to support Black students in her London community, Jamea and Alicia from Boston, MA, who are developing a tech solution for mental and physical health during COVID, and more. The students will share their stories of making a small and big impact in their communities and discuss their inspiration, challenges, and how we can all find ways to make change.
Here are a few more details: • Teams/Classes can tune in as a group or individually. • Live webcasts engage students in dialogue with each other around the Challenge topic. • Viewing requires a mobile or desktop screen and a stable internet connection. • Webcasts typically last 40 minutes. • If the live broadcast time does not work for your schedule, the recording will be available the next day on our YouTube channel
