Students Rebuild partnered with Save the Children to provide much-needed support to the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan, which destroyed homes and changed millions of lives after it made landfall on November 8, 2013.
Student teams from around the world wrote and submitted thousands of letters for the Students Rebuild Typhoon Haiyan Challenge. The Bezos Family Foundation matched $1 for each letter and drawing sent up to $200,000. Save the Children used these funds to provide children and teachers with safe, temporary learning spaces, educational materials, clean water supplies and other support.
In March 2014, Save the Children delivered your letters and drawings to Haiyan survivors. Check out photos and video here.
