Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove Hosts a Community Event

Thursday, August 25, 2011 - 14:28
The members of the Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove at Cook Elementary are proud to be a part of this amazing opportunity.  As an after school program located in an elementary school, we were glad to participate in this collaborative effort that showcased both our origami skills and humanitarian spirit.  We made 86 paper cranes out of love and thought to the people of Japan.  We hosted a "Help Japan" crane party and invited families, community donors, and administrators to participate.  We had a great turnout and the members had a wonderful time.  On behalf of the members, families, and our school I would like to extend my gratitude in allowing us to be a part of the fundraiser.

Shared with permission from Ratha Ith, site coordinator, Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove, CA.
